Those who love “My Neighbor Totoro”, “Spirited Away” or countless other animated masterpieces will have the Ghibli Museum on their short list of places to visit in Tokyo. Located in a quiet suburb of Western Tokyo called Mitaka, the museum sits on the edge of Inokashira Park, which is beautiful in its own right. You must buy advanced tickets to the Ghibli Museum and no photography inside the museum is allowed, but bring your camera anyway as the building is quite photogenic. The museum screens animated short films which are delightful and can only be seen at the museum itself.
