Looking across Tokyo Bay at the man-made island of Odaiba, the Fuji Television building stands out even among a crowd of architectural marvels. Designed by Kenzo Tange and completed in 1997, it is the headquarters of one of Japan’s major networks. The sphere on the upper floors has a viewing deck that is open to the public for 550yen (adults, children are cheaper or free). Several times per year, Fuji TV holds a “festival” with live filming of some shows on an outdoor stage. You can tour a collection of television show items on the 5th floor and of course enjoy shopping for TV goods in several theme shops.
