Miraikan

Miraikan, also known the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (probably why people call it “Miraikan”), is located on the man-made island of Odaiba in Tokyo Bay. Suspended above the entry hall is the Geo-Cosmos, a one-of-a-kind globe covered with OLED panels that displays real time weather patterns and other important geographic data. Miraikan is also “home” to the little Honda-built robot ASIMO, one of the most advanced robots in the world in terms of fluid movements. ASIMO amazes crowds in four performances each day. Miraikan is open daily except Tuesdays and some holidays and admission is 620 yen for adults, 210 yen for 18 and under.
