Architecture poses a unique puzzle for Japan with the perfect storm of scarcity of natural resources, the premium value of land in urban areas, and a dwindling population. This is why many of Japan’s most prominent architects are on the cutting edge of ideas like using recycled materials for building projects, optimizing space in tiny homes and creating communal living spaces. House Vision is an annual exhibition that brings together several of the thought leaders in Japanese architecture to display concepts of living spaces that fit the future of Japan. House Vision is fittingly hosted on Odaiba, a location representing modern Tokyo in terms of urban planning and design.
